At Utopia Baptist Church, we believe that faith is more than just something we talk about on Sundays—it's something we live out every day. As a Southern Baptist church, our beliefs are grounded in God's Word, and our mission is to help people know Jesus, grow in their faith, and share His love with others.
We believe the Bible is God's inspired, trustworthy, and authoritative Word. It is the foundation for what we believe, how we live, and everything we teach.
2 Timothy 3:16–17
We believe there is one true God who exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of all things and loves us more than we can imagine.
Matthew 28:19
We believe Jesus is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again so that we can have forgiveness and eternal life.
John 3:16; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4
We believe salvation is a gift of God's grace, received through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. It isn't something we can earn through good works—it's made possible by what Jesus has already done.
Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 10:9–10
We believe baptism by immersion is an important step of obedience for those who have placed their faith in Jesus. Baptism doesn't save us; it is a public declaration of the new life we have in Christ.
Matthew 28:19–20; Romans 6:4
We believe the church is more than a building—it's a family of believers called to worship God, grow together, serve others, and share the hope of Jesus with our community and the world.
Acts 2:42–47; Matthew 28:19–20
We believe following Jesus should make a difference in how we live, love, and treat others. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we seek to grow more like Christ every day.
Galatians 5:22–23; James 1:22
Utopia Baptist Church is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC). Our beliefs are consistent with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000, which provides a biblical summary of Southern Baptist doctrine.
